AEON organized a workshop on disaster management, elaborating on various generic, prevention and mitigation measures that organizations of various sizes and complexities can implement as part of their business continuity strategy. AEON has been pursuing its objective of raising disaster management awareness through workshops and seminars over a sustained period of time.
Those in attendance found the session informative. AEON carried out the exercise in association with various organizations that specialize in mitigation and recovery. The objective was to get participants up to date on the latest trends in disaster management.
The importance of maintaining food supplies was also stressed upon during the conference. The session elaborated upon strategies for taking stock of food requirements and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The workshop even included a module on managing pets and effectively handling animal stress.
