The Saipan Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will not be working tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 as polls will be conducted. The DRC will resume operations on November 14 and 15 during regular working hours – 8 am to 5 pm.

Post November 16, the Saipan Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will have a change in office address and install itself in Tekken Street, Susupe.

Like most other disaster recovery centers spread across the country the Saipan DRC facilitates one-on-one sessions between local citizens and officials from various organizations such as the Commonwealth, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the US Small Business Administration (SBA). A variety of queries are addressed and resolved including:

  • Ad hoc accommodation
  • Household and property restoration
  • Financial Assistance

Disaster victims with or without insurance and those with insufficient insurance are advised to enroll with FEMA to avail grants. Properties without or with insufficient insurance can be restored through FEMA and SBA financial assistance. Applicants with insurance are advised to fill out a claim form with their respective insurers before enrolling with FEMA. Those applying for SBA financial assistance must

  • Call (800) 621-3362
  • Call 1-800-462-7585 (TTY for those with speech and hearing impediments)
  • Apply via the internet at: disasterassistance.gov

Like other centers in the country, the Saipan DRC houses phones and computers that applicants can use for enrollment.
