Heavy snowfall is expected across central USA as cold air currents from Canada move southwards through the Prairies. Additionally, storms making their way through the Rocky Mountain range have only made the snowfall all the more likely.

The storm is expected to head east across parts of Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Wyoming and Indiana. Heavy snowfall is expected in Nebraska and Kansas. Meteorological experts anticipate around two inches of snowfall in the region in and around from the Interstate 80 in Nebraska to Goodland, Kansas.

Those with travel plans in the above mentioned regions during the rest of the week especially on Thursday must double up on precautions especially tire traction as a preventive measure against slippery roads.

Wichita, Kansas, Kansas City and Missouri are other cities that are on the radar for bad weather, including a few intense torrential showers that will work their way south through Oklahoma and Texas.

The extreme weather is also expected to bring down a substantial mass of leaves from trees in the region that could possibly choke storm drains.

As the belt of low air pressure moves northeast, more snowfall is expected, especially in Chicago and parts of northern Missouri.
